We have over a decade of experience of storytelling for brands and destinations around the globe. We treat each unique visual campaign as though it were our own brand, creating lasting impact and connection between product and client. We have a team of content creators in destinations around the globe who can’t wait to tell your story.

Many of our creative agency clients come to us for video marketing and film production.

Founded by filmmaker and travel expert Kristen Kellogg in 2011, the company is owned by Kristen and food and travel expert, Aida Mollenkamp.


KRISTEN KELLOGGFounder + Creative Director
Exploring rugged to refined, filmmaker, digital storyteller, and travel expert Kristen Kellogg has designed her life for life on the road.
Kristen holds a degree in Communication Studies with a focus in Marketing and Public Relations from San Jose State University. She founded Border Free Travels to craft engaging travel and lifestyle stories and brand campaigns through film, photography, and innovative media. She not only creates content but provides consulting to brands and destinations for digital marketing, social media, and modern campaign concepts that will best reach and engage their desired audience.
Kristen recently produced work for the Travel Channel and Thailand Tourism, and her work has been featured in a variety of outlets such as Yahoo, Daily Mail, AFAR, MSN, and Microsoft among others. Kristen is from Southern Illinois, has an obsession with cheese, loves talking to strangers (in person and on Instagram), and feels most at home when she’s not.
When she’s not on the road, she finds inspiration by exploring her own backyard – Mexico City.

Aida is a food and travel expert, author, Food Network personality and founder of Salt & Wind. She has a made her career in food travel media and hospitality and has crisscrossed the globe to search out the best food destinations.
Aida has extensive background in hospitality, food, and media spaces. She studied at the Cornell Hotel School and Le Cordon Bleu Paris cooking school before joining CHOW Magazine where she worked as Food Editor. Aida then moved to television and hosted the Food Network show, Ask Aida, FoodCrafters on the Cooking Channel, In The Pantry on Yahoo!, and the TasteMade series, Off Menu. Her cookbook, Keys To The Kitchen, is a go-to for home cooks who want to become more adventurous cooks.
Aida believes you don’t know a place until you’ve broken bread there and is on a mission to help food travelers taste the world. She speaks four languages, has lived abroad in France and Italy, and, along with Kristen, personally researches every boutique group trip for Salt & Wind Travel.
